2007 Harley VRod 240 Conversion

A video describing how to fit a 240 rear wheel onto a 2007 Harley Davidson Night rod (V rod). This shows how you can fit a 2008 or later v rod wheel with metric axles onto a 2007 V Rod that has imperial axles. It may help 2006 or earlier V Rod owners to also fit 240 wheels to their bikes. It contains measurements for all the V Rod wheel spacers and part numbers too. This has worked on my bike, but accept no liability, blame etc. should you do this to yours... Background - Vrods were originally fitted with 180 (5.5 inch width) rear tyres. In 2007 a 240 (8 inch wheel) became standard on all apart from the nightrod. The 2007 also saw a change from thick pulley and narrow swing arm to a wide swing arm and thin pulley to help accommodate the bigger wheel (but you can fit a 240 to an earlier bike by notching the brake calliper). In 2008 Harley moved from Imperial axles to metric axles (Oh joy...) this changed the onset in the hub between the bearing register as they had to go from 21mm wide bearing to 15mm wide. So
