National Park «Sviati Gory» (“Holy Mountains“) National Park «Sviati Gory» was established by the decree of the President of Ukraine № 135/97 from the 13th of February, 1997. All the organizational works were carried on by the Head of State Department of Ecology and Natural Resources in the Donetsk region . The project of establishment was prepared by the Laboratory of Nature Conservation Problems of Donetsk University under the direction of Deputy Head of the same Department Gennadiy Molodan.
