The Art of Hangul Calligraphy with Byoung Chul Park

May 27, 2015 - Calligraphy using Hangul, Korea’s alphabet since 1446, has become a prominent feature of commercial art in Korea, with Hangul-based designs adorning fashion, advertisements, and movie posters. Master artist and calligrapher Byoung Chul Park will illustrate the beauty of Hangul calligraphy by demonstrating the convergence of characters and design. Participants, under Park’s guidance, will try their hand at Hangul calligraphy using a variety of styles and brushstrokes.
