International Internationale

“L’Internationale“ is an international left-wing anthem composed by Marxist Pierre De Geyter, with the original lyrics written by anarchist Eugène Pottier, a survivor of the Paris Commune’s fall. This video features 140 translations and versions of The Internationale. Thank you to @AnonymouseArchive1945, @Hwasong, @GETchan, @MandalorTeSiit, @velociraptorboi1919, and @Borec_official for uploading/compiling/translating/transliterating these! And thank you to the following creators for uploading their versions of: @AnonymouseArchive1945 - Toki Pona, Old English, Gothic, Occitan, Nicard, and Sardina @82neruda - Malayalam @Spalvard - Punjabi @eldaddy4977 - Irish Check out @GeneralDonato’s playlist with all of the versions used: I made a previous version of the video ( a while ago (which surprisingly got popular) and with feedback from the viewers, I made some changes, most notably: - Added captions/English translated captions for most of the languages - Added lighter red for other regions/countries that have the same language - Added 19 new versions - Removed Kelartic and Kazakh, which was actually a low-quality recording of the Uyghur version. I was gonna wait until the Central Asian languages popped up online, but with May Day coming up, I just couldn’t resist. I’ll probably make a new video whenever those and maybe also Somali are around Reading on “The Internationale”: Vladimir Lenin: Eugene Pottier, The 25th Anniversary of His Death - Donny Gluckstein: Decyphering “The Internationale“ - Maurrice Dommangent: De la Marseillaise à l’Internationale (From The Marseillaise to The Internationale) - Yi-wei Song: The Experience of L’Internationale in China - Bernard Richard: La Marseillaise: A song of war, a song of freedom (also about l’Internationale) A short and fun documentary by Peter Miller:
