In this KU Quick Tip I look at a few of our techniques for receiving impact, or blocks, in two stages: interception and redirection. Or more simply, the path to contact, and the path after contact. We want to take the shortest path to interception, but I often see these blocking movements follow large and awkward paths. Here, I will look at minimizing the extraneous movements that often accompany these techniques.
