On CNN, when a reporter began describing the police crackdown on campus protests at Columbia as excessive, host Anderson Cooper interrupted him to change the subject. Even former CNN host Brian Stelter found the cops’ reaction excessive. Cooper, of course, is an establishment man through and through, and went on to repeatedly suggest, without evidence, that campus protesters are “outside agitators” and not students.
