“Emoviolence“ (like skramz) is a joke term to refer to a subgenre of emo that was coined by powerviolence/ hardcore punk group, In/Humanity, to mock emo. Emoviolence combines screamo, chaotic hardcore, powerviolence, grindcore, and noise to create a sad screamy mess of music. Though people aren’t exactly sure of when it started, the likeliest start is by The End of the Century Party’s demos that were released in 1993/1994.
