North Korean FM Choe Son-hui in Moscow for talks on deepening bilateral ties

北 최선희 외무상, 러시아 방문 북•러 군사협력 논의할 듯 North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui is in Russia for talks with her Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov. According to the North’s Korea Central News Agency on Monday, Choe arrived in Moscow the day before for a four-day visit, at the invitation of Lavrov. Choe’s visit comes at a time when Pyongyang and Moscow are deepening their military ties. In October last year, Russia’s top diplomat visited Pyongyang to work out a suspected weapons deal between the two countries. However, both sides have denied all such allegations. Meanwhile, eyes are on whether the two will discuss Russian President Vladimir Putin’s possible visit to Pyongyang.
