“Кубань, ты наша Родина“ - Soviet Kuban Patriotic Song

Listen to the modern version here: “Многоводная“ literally means “like a river full of water,“ translated as “abundantly beautiful“ for simplicity “Ты, Кубань, ты наша Родина“/“Ty, Kuban’, ty nasha Rodina“ (You, Kuban, You Are Our Motherland) is a patriotic song for the Kuban (Krasnodar Krai) region of Russia. The song was originally written in 1914 by Konstantin Obraztsov and served as the anthem of the Kuban People’s Republic from 1918 to 1920, before the region was integrated into the RSFSR. At some point, the lyrics were altered to speak more of the Kuban region in the context of the Soviet Union. This song was performed in 1948 by the Kuban Cossack Choir, arranged by Grigory Plotnichenko. The song with its original 1914 lyrics still serves as the anthem of the Kuban region, under the title “Гимн Краснодарского края“ (Anthem of Krasnodar Krai). Ты, Кубань, ты наша Род
