A record 17,000 people have turned up to the latest in a string of “anti-Islamisation“ demonstrations in Dresden in eastern Germany. Monday night’s gathering outside the city’s Semperoper opera house was organised by far-right movement Patriotic Europeans Against Islamisation of the West.
