Walt Disney’s Alice Comedies - “Alice’s Spooky Adventure“

When a baseball gets knocked through the window of a haunted house, Alice is the only kid brave enough to enter. In the second official Alice Comedy short, the formula becomes well-established. Alice gets knocked unconscious, dreaming that she’s back in Cartoonland, which is now overrun by “SPOOKS!“ One of them turns out to be her friend Julius the Cat, who would become the cartoon star of the series. This version of “Alice’s Spooky Adventure“ uses a cleaner Dutch version of the film, with English-language text replacing the speech cards. The original title card appears to have been lost to time, so this one is an approximation of what it would’ve looked like.
