The RDG-2 is a Czech smoke grenade in use since the 1950s to provide cover and concealment to small bodies of infantry and engineers. The throwing range of the RDG-2 is about 50 meters. It will not work underwater and does not float. The body material of the RDG-2 is cardboard coated with wax.
