The rebel Russian region of Chechnya said Moscow-backed opposition
forces launched a helicopter attack on the capital’s airport on
Friday (25/11), killing at least three people. A Chechen military
official said opposition helicopters fired rockets at Grozny
airport, killing three people and injuring eight. Several Tupolev
Tu-134 airliners were damaged and a building was partially
destroyed.
