Burnet Tuthill was the only child of his musical parents. His mother was an organist and his father an architect and amateur cellist. Though he had never designed a concert hall, Burnet’s father, William, was commissioned to design his one and only concert hall. Unfortunately, William was not commissioned to design any more concert halls even though Andrew Carnegie was certainly satisfied with his now historic and legend
