When you’re invited to bring a few speakers, and your synth rig, to one of the most stunning live music spots in Tasmania, you’re clearly going to say yes!
I was attempting to play ‘something big sounding’ as a start to this gig. Didn’t quite work out the way I had planned - the additional workload of being sound tech at the same time never helps lol!
Anyhow, the main purpose of my YouTube channel has always been to help me practice for live sets; and so here is the first actual live set I’ve ever loaded up to YouTube :)
That’s the joy of live sets really, you can’t kill the camera when you mess up, you’ve just got to deal with the cards you’re played and hope for the best!
If you can’t be bothered listening to me doing an on the fly soundcheck, feel free to skip the first 10 mins :)
I must confess I wasn’t on top form at the start of this gig (a few speaker problems left me battling the rig through the night), and it was also freezing cold. As is the way with Tasmanian summers, we had the full 4 seasons in one day, and so it quickly got pretty hot!
