MiamiCentral Station is one of three to be built by Brightline for its new privately-funded express intercity passenger rail network that will connect south and central Florida. Gate Precast worked in a design-assist capacity with the project team and produced over 600 V-shaped precast panels that serve as cladding for an interior structure steel frame. The V-shaped panels are as large as 7 feet wide by 5.5 feet deep by 36 feet tall. Designed by SOM Architecture of New York and constructed by Suffolk Construction Co. of Miami, the station covers a little more than six city blocks.
