Monopoly takes sheer bass pressure and shackles it to a heavy duty framework of lumbering percussion that hits straight in the chest for what might be EshOne’s heaviest creation to date. Although the rhythm comes ten tons heavy throughout the track keeps a definite forward momentum, particularly after the second drop, through the use of lithe conga rolls and skittered hi-hats not world’s away from trap and southern hip-hop styles. Never one to rest on his laurels, the remainder of the EP is as experimental and as varied as EshOne’s last Artikal release and also features the paranoid, skittish shuffle of Scrap Night and the surging, techy roll of The Fence.
