GEC vs Valve Art KT66 in Metropoulos GPM 45

Comparison clip of these KT66 tubes. New Old Stock GEC vs Chinese Valve Art. Installed in Metropoulos GPM 45, bias at 40mA. They sound very much alike, the Valve Art is more scooped in the mids and a little chirpy in the highs at times. Still a very good tube. I don’t feel that the recording captures the difference that you perceive when playing the amp in person. The GEC are more 3D and feel better under your fingers, so to speak.
