- You’ll never get away with it, my love - This video is a sequel/pair with my previous video: And both use songs from the same album. The first one is Satoko acquiring her time-looping power and beginning to become corrupted by it. This second AMV here is Rika coming to realize that Satoko is the one responsible for all of the horror. I’d wanted to have both videos up for Halloween, but that obviously didn’t happen :) I enjoy making ’paired’ videos with this series - because you have the two seasons that are the question vs answers, or Rika vs Satoko. It’s fun to edit. So the previous AMV was more from Satoko’s perspective, but this one is more from Rika’s. I really dig both of the songs too, it’s a great album maybe there will be a third AMV...? We’ll see. This track has the crime scene imagery in the lyrics too, so that worked particularly well for Higurashi. Video plot: Rika awakens in the knows someone must have killed her, but she can’t remember who or how. As Rika goes about her daily life, she gradually notices things feel off about her best friend Satoko. Rika worries that Satoko may be getting beaten by her uncle again, as was the case in many previous worlds, so she asks the detective to investigate. Meanwhile Satoko has been on a baseball bat murder spree, and upon realizing the detective is coming, she stages the room to appear as if her victims killed each other. She acts distraught and lies to the detective. He leaves, and Satoko goes to the village festival where Rika is performing her ritual dance. She crashes the stage and fights with Rika. The stage catches fire during the skirmish and Rika gets away, but Satoko soon finds her and shoots any bystanders that get in the way. She catches Rika and kills her, shooting multiple times to ensure Rika is properly dead. Satoko then shoots herself to follow Rika into the next world.
