Restoration Soviet Universal Axe

Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. As usual, I found this axe at a flea market. It’s an old Soviet axe. Applications are diverse both in construction and for lovers of hiking, fishing and other outdoor activities. I didn’t have such an axe, and I’m glad I bought it. Okay, let’s start the restoration! As usual, I used my “favorite way“, rust remover, washing, drying and oiling. Then I used an iron wire brush. Then I used the belt sander machine to correct the shape of and axe sharpening. With the help of iron chloride, I etched an axe and two forms of axes on both sides. For axe handle I choose dry wood and made on the handle 10 mm hole for lanyard. For impregnation, I used my homemade wax. Also, I made a simple leather sheath for the axe. Finally, I made an interesting test for you. I hoe you will enjoy this axe restoration video.
