Trade union members condemn attack on HQs amid violent anti-COVID pass protest in Rome

Follow us on Telegram: Clashes broke out between anti-COVID pass protesters and the police.  From October 15 the ‘green pass’ will be mandatory for all workers in Italy. According to local media, around 10,000 protesters, including far-right groups, rallied against the measure. Police deployed water cannons and tear gas to disperse the crowd. Protesters blocked streets with makeshift barricades. Several people were detained. A group of protesters tried to reach the Prime Minister’s office while another stormed the Federation of Italian Trade Unions’ building (CGIL).
