A short History of Northern Ireland

This is an overview of Northern Ireland and especially the background and events of ’The Troubles’ conflict between 1969 and 1998. It covers the roots of trouble between catholics and Protestants following partition. It also looks at the NICRA civil rights movement and shows how the late 1960’s led to the road to the Troubles. It also investigates the Good Friday Agreement of 1998 and its part in bringing the Troubles to an end.
