Their friendship started in the late 90’s when Mariah Carey came to Michael Jackson after breaking up with the music executive, Tommy Mottola. Michael Jackson helped Mariah Carey through a lot of tough times, they both recorded a song together called “Satisfy“ in 2002 but it remains unreleased to this day. Michael Jackson also invited Mariah Carey to join his special “United We Stand“ show in 2001, where they both sang together. Later the song “What More Can I Give“ that Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey sang together at the show was released as a single.
