Restoration of a very old rusty French rebel bayonet

In this video, I am restoring a very old, rusty French rebel bayonet. This bayonet was made around the 1919s of the last century. The bayonet was used with carbines of the Mannlcher-Berthier system of various types. He was in service with the French army. Since 1917, at the initiative of the Chatellerault factory, a modification has been produced with wooden cheeks and wider rivets than in the case of plastic cheeks. Since 1918 (according to other versions since 1916) with a shortened bent end of the cross (officially, the model with a shortened end of the cross was put into service in 1925). The bayonet was found by my friend. The condition of the bayonet was very deplorable, a lot of rust, the sheath had a large number of holes. There were no wooden inserts on the handle. The button for fixing the bayonet to the rifle is heavily rusted. The blade of the bayonet was covered with a layer of rust, and deep corrosion was present in some places.
