1977 Dodge Diplomat Commercial vs TBird, Olds Cutlass Supreme & Chevy Monte Carlo

The Diplomat was introduced and it’s Chrysler Sibling, the LeBaron in Winter of 1977 as a 1977 Model. The car was a success for Dodge and was on the market with minor changes until 1989. This coupe was compared head to head with the TBird, Cutlass Supreme and Monte Carlo. Dodge also offered the Charger and then would have a third Personal Luxury car for 1978, the Magnum XE. 1977 was a very good year for Dodge, so was 1978. 1979 was a disaster with the second Gasoline Crisis in the USA in only 6 years.
