Almost Had It… a bad ending to a great BMX event.

Karl Immers’ handlebar end hit him in the eye and broke multiple bones in his face and ruptured his left eye. Unfortunately, the damage to Karl’s eye couldn’t be repaired and it had to be removed. Oh, and he broke his ankle, too. Karl’s spirit, positivity, and outright grace through this has been incredible and just shows what a good person he is. In addition to being a life long bmxer, karl is a father and husband. Although he has medical insurance, a gofundeme has been set up so we can show support and help karl and his family focus on what’s important and not any sort of outside stress.
