An electric Porsche road trip across Australia – Chapter 2: Built for adventure

As its Aussie road trip continues, the Porsche Taycan 4S Cross Turismo cruises across remote central Australia on the next leg of its 5,000km adventure. On its paintwork are bold streaks of red dust and clay — a colourful reminder of its ability on more challenging surfaces. The Taycan rests for a moment at Karlu — known as the Devil’s Marbles — then sprints on to Birdsville’s colossal Big Red sand dune. After that, it calls in on the ghost town of Betoota in the dusty Shire of Diamantina – a deserted yet eerily beautiful place. At the wheel of the Taycan are Kane and Pia Muehlenbeck, who show us why sleeping in a roof tent is the best way to enjoy the Outback’s endless expanse and mesmerising, star-studded skies. ---- To see the adventure unfold, subscribe to Porsche on YouTube.
