David Oistrakh and Frieda Bauer Play Schubert Fantasia in C (Part 2)

David Oistrakh, violinist and Frieda Bauer, pianist play Fantasia in C, Op. 159 (D. 934) by Franz Schubert (1797 - 1828) (Part 2) This masterpiece, the Schubert Fantasia in C, Op. 159 (D. 934), was written in 1827, the same year as the two piano trios and the song cycle, Die Winterreise. It was composed for the very young Czech violinist Josef Slawjk and the pianist C.M. von Bocklet. In 1826 Schubert also wrote the Rondo Brilliant, Op. 70 for them.
