First group of 400 Kenyan police officers leaves for Haiti | DW News

Four Hundred Kenyan police officers are heading off to Haiti this morning as part of a UN-backed mission to try to quell the ongoing violence. Kenya has pledged to send a total of 1,000 officers to serve alongside forces from other countries. Haiti has long been plagued by gang violence. In February, armed groups set out to overthrow the government.
