On this tour we visit several Christmas Markets in Dresden, Germany. We start at the “Striezelmarkt“ which is one of Germany’s oldest Christmas markets in Dresden’s historic city center. The market started in the year 1434. Now the Striezelmarkt is famous for its festive decorations and traditional crafts. Visitors can find items like wooden toys, ceramics, and candles and mostly enjoy a Bratwurst and mulled wine. The market usually runs from late November to Christmas Eve.
After shortly passing through the Altmarkt Galerie shopping mall, we continue towards the south of Dresden’s residence castle on the so-called Piazza at the corner of the Taschenbergpalais for another small market. Then we head towards Stallhof and after that to the Frauenkirche for yet another Christmas Market with a nice setting. Tonight we can even enter the Frauenkirche this time for a look around.
Soon we are on our way to the Münzgasse, from where we get up to the “Brühlsche Terrass
