“The story of Malkauns“ (Raag Malkauns/Malkaush) - Lakha Khan and Madou Sidiki Diabatè. An instrumental version of the Krishna bhajan (“Door Khelan Mat Jao Kanhaiya“.. Yashoda, Krishna’s mother imploring him to not venture too far when he is out playing) and based on Raag Malkauns, one of the oldest ragas of Indian classical music. A late night raga, soothing and meditative, the raga is believed to have been created by goddess Parvati to calm Shiva.
