A technical triumph for Nintendo 64.
The game displayed in the video is the very same survival horror classic by Capcom, originally released in 1998 on Playstation. It retains all of the video, music and voice acting and also Angel Studios managed to fit both Claire and Leon’s campaigns for good measure. This is thanks to some fantastic compression techniques formulated by Factor 5 (of Rogue Squadron fame) and a hefty enhanced 65MB cartridge used for the extra space.
The Nintendo 64 Resident Evil 2 does miss out on extreme battle but it instead gains the EX files which chains together the plot of all Resident Evil games. There are also some minor gameplay modifiers. And ofcourse, Resident Evil 2 runs at a higher resolution with better texture filtering on Nintendo 64 than Playstation.
