The seven-step StoryBrand Framework helped Latasha with her messaging, positioning and understanding her customer better. The first step is the Character, or your customer. Your customer is the main character in the story, so we always want to be thinking about them. Second is the Problem. Your character has a problem that you need to solve. Third, they meet a Guide. In this case, the guide is you or your business. You are guiding your customers through this journey. Next, the Plan. As their guide, you give them a plan to help them solve their problem. Fifth is a Call to Action, which is where the buying process really starts for your customer. The next step is leading your customer to success. You want to make sure whatever you’re offering your customer is clear and concise, and gets them to where they want to go. Lastly, the seventh step is avoiding failure. Help your customer avoid failure by steering them away from what would happen if they fail. Check out the book Building A StoryBrand for more details on each of these seven steps and how you can use them to create better messaging that connects with your ideal customer.
