The title consists of the kanji used in “spoil“, “ruin“, or literally “eaten by worms“ and the one used in “red lipstick“. So the title might be something like “spoiled/ruined red“, with the nuance of the red being lipstick-red. For anyone who can read it, I imagine it something like this: 蝕(んだ口)紅 Translation by me. Annotations: “Kagome inside the cage“ - Okay, so there’s a lot to explain here. Kagome is a female name (although a bit rare in real life. I read through some forums and when people write that they’re thinking about naming their child that, responses that I see a lot go something like “Cute name! Is it from Inu Yasha?“). But the reason this name is in the song is because of a Japanese children’s game called “Kagome Kagome“.
