Today we have one of the most anticipated games of 2023 in the form of Payday 3. Payday 2 was a huge hit and has been supported by the developers for many years after its initial release. The original setting of playing as heisters with the freedom to approach various missions in stealth or loud made it an instant classic. Therefore expectations were high and unfortunately the result is a very mixed bag as the improvements get overshadowed by some decisions that ruin the experience. First, lets talk about the good stuff. The enviroments feel way more alive and the atmosphere is great. The stealth has been improved greatly as you do not automatically fail when you are spotted and new interactions like the lockpicking are fun minigames. The action feels nice and frantic and overall the gameplay is still solid.
