Conker’s Bad Fur Day on the Nintendo 64 is one of my top ten favorite games of all time. I absolutely loved the variety and hilarious shenanigans that Conker the Squirrel got himself into. Years later a remake came out for the original Xbox. One day I will also archive the original Nintendo 64 classic, but today we are immortalizing this version. The game still looks amazing and plays really well. Conker has never looked better with detailed fur and the lighting and shadow effects are top notch for the console in that time. It is mostly a faithful port with the biggest difference being how melee combat works and a few more enemies you need to take out in this way. The new melee combat is honestly nothing special and just makes a few sections a bit longer. Was not necessary to put this in the game, but this version focused mostly on it’s grand multiplayer mode and thus had to put a few systems like its melee and weapon systems in the singleplayer.
