Women’s Voices Chorus - “Gloria“ by Antonio Vivaldi

Antonio Vivaldi’s “Gloria“ is usually sung by mixed choirs, but did you know that its original performers were the residents of the Venetian Ospedale della Pietà, an all-female orphanage? This is a complete recording of the chorus’s historically informed concert, accompanied by baroque orchestra. Women’s Voices Chorus is a 65-voice ensemble in North Carolina dedicated to performing choral works by and for women.
