Sea Shepherds flagship vessel is the Steve Irwin. It has successfully patrolled on eight Antarctic whale defence campaigns and sailed around the world twice in defence of our oceans. She has had concussion grenades thrown at her, she has been rammed by the illegal whale poachers from Japan and she has even been trapped in the ice in defence of the whales. She has been doing the job that the governments of the world refuse to do, upholding international conservation law to carry out Sea Shepherds mission
