Classic Circuits You Should Know - Light Activated Switch
In this video we look at two things:
1. The LM393 comparator
2. Voltage Dividers
We set up 2 voltage dividers. One with a potentiometer, to set our reference voltage. And one with a resistor/LDR combo that will change resistance based on the light level. The comparator looks at the reference voltage compared to the LDR voltage. If the LDR voltage exceeds the reference, then the LM393 switches on.
