UNRWA: ’We will scale up our response in Gaza’

In an interview with BBC News, The head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees Philippe Lazzarini says they will continue their “absolutely indispensable” work during the conflict and that they will do everything possible to scale up their response in Gaza. He then mentioned that if UNRWA collapses in Gaza, the last glimpse of hope the Palestinians have would also disappear. Israeli air strikes have reportedly targeted UNRWA schools and has claimed multiple lives of UNRWA staff. UNRWA is the last remaining big agency providing humanitarian aid and assistance in Gaza. To date over 15000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli air strikes, with 6150 of them being children.
