This update - probably the last of the year - shows the work on the upper catwalks that allowed access to the Cylinder heads and upper levels of the engine room, more of the steam and lubrication piping and - most importantly in terms of major components - the Barring/Turning engines which were bolted to the aftmost outboard pillars of the Low-Pressure Y-Frame supports. The Turning Engines were used to rotate the cranks into the start positions among other things. I think the project has made a good bit of progress over the course of the last ’ll be interesting to see how it progresses going forward. I’m hoping over the next couple of weeks to produce a video based around the images released recently of the dives into Britannics engines but as it’s Christmas I’m not sure how much time I’ll have to do it.
Anyways, Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year and thanks to all who have subscribed and commented!
