In 1984, Craig Hosking began building “Double Take“ in secret. Double Take was a totally unique airshow act- something that the industry needed. The engine was converted to a totally dry sump for continuous inverted flight. His seat belt harness had an electric winch for the upside down take offs and landings. After wowing the crowds with the inverted take offs, aerobatics, and landings, Craig Hosking earned the Art Scholl Award for Showmanship by the International Council of Air Shows in 1988.
Double Take is on exhibit at the Air Museum Planes of Fame in Valle, Arizona.
