Funeral of Bobby Farrell (Boney M) in Amsterdam The Netherlands. Farrell died at the age of 61. He was found dead in a hotel room in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg on the morning of December 30, 2010. The night before he had performed with his band. Farrell complained of breathing problems and chest pain after the performance. According to Russian authorities, Farrell died of heart failure. He was buried on January 8, 2011 at Zorgvlied cemetery in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
