When Stacy and Darren got an alert from their Ring Cam and they switched on Live View, they saw “a bear sauntering up our front walkway as if it was no big deal.” Realizing it was heading towards their backyard where their daughter Neveah was playing, Stacy called her on the phone just in time to warn her of the approaching animal. “They stared at each other for a bit while we were on the phone and he turned around and walked away,” she says. “It was wild.” It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience... until it happened again. The second time, Stacy was working at home, and Neveah was once again on the swings, headphones on, chillin’, and oblivious to danger. “He got so close he was almost touching her,” Stacy says, “and I lightly opened and closed the back door” to get his attention. Luckily, the bear moved far enough away for Neveah to get safely inside the house.
