How to stop oil leaks on an engine

The first time I did this repair was on a motorcycle maybe 40 years ago and it worked real good. Since there’s no oil pressure on the block and gearcase mating surfaces this trick works, the silicone is rubbery and flexible so it tolerates the slight separation of the case parts and gasket or original sealer. You will need to remove the air compressor, starter, water pump and any other parts in the way.
