“On the Run”: how to make the synth sound on VCS3 (app)

Recorded using the iVCS3 app for iPhone, without overdubs nor audio editing. The sound is basically a square wave through a low pass filter with some resonance. Oscillator 3 is used as LFO, modulating the filter frequency with a triangle wave: this effect becomes audible increasing the wave LEVEL. The interesting thing is the hi-hat sound: it is generated by the ring-modulator “triggered“ by the sequencer voltage (a trick of the EMS Synthi AKS).
