LIVE TRACKING OF HURRICANE BERYL AND HER DESTRUCTIVE PATH

Hurricane Beryl churned toward the Cayman Islands and Mexico on Thursday after leaving a trail of destruction in southern Jamaica, killing at least two people on the island nation, bringing down power lines, and leaving hundreds homeless and in shelters. Hurricane Beryl is wreaking havoc in parts of the Caribbean and putting the role of climate change under the spotlight. With maximum sustained wind speeds of more than 160 mph (257 km/h), it became the earliest category five Atlantic hurricane in records going back around 100 years. The causes of individual storms are complex, making it difficult to fully attribute specific cases to climate change. But exceptionally high sea surface temperatures are seen as a key reason why Hurricane Beryl has been so powerful. Beryl was previously the earliest Category 5 storm on record in the Atlantic. It was also the strongest storm to impact Jamaica in over 15 years. #breakingnews #news #hurricane #HURRICANEBERYL #deathtoll
