“In a short period of time, your country has completed all the necessary procedures on the path to full membership in the SCO” - Putin and other SCO leaders signed documents admitting Belarus to the organization. Belarus has become the tenth country of the SCO - Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Now it includes the Russian Federation, China, India, Iran, Pakistan and a number of former Soviet republics - Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. The acceptance of Minsk was announced by Kazakh President Tokayev at the organization’s summit in Astana, where Putin and Xi Jinping also arrived.
