Tribute to Marcel Jacob - 1964 - 2009

Here is a commemorative video tribute to our brother Marcel Jacob, founder and main writer for the band Talisman which included Jeff Scott Soto, Jamie Borger, Fredrik Akesson, Jakob Samuelsson, & Pontus Norgren within its core origins. Marcel made his professional name playing alongside with Yngwie Malmsteen (& Soto) in the original incarnation of Rising Force as well as John Norum’s solo career when Norum left Europe shortly after the release of The Final Countdown. in 1989, Marcel went on his own, brought Soto into the picture and together they presented the world with Talisman. Marcel took his own life on July 21, 2009, just days before Talisman would begin recording their 8th studio album. Upon his passing, the band asked good friend Gary Schutt, also a former bandmate of Jeff Scott Soto’s as well as video editor for Talisman, to make this tribute for Marcel.
