The Crucible Act 1

The Crucible is a 1953 play by the American playwright Arthur Miller. It is a dramatization of the Salem witch trials that took place in the Province of Massachusetts Bay during 1692 and 1693. Miller wrote the play as an allegory to McCarthyism, when the US government blacklisted accused communists. This shortened version was presented by Performing Arts students at Bedford College. It was the final performance for some as they were completing their courses. The performance was staged at bedford colleges impressive theatre studio and most of the equipment used to film was borrowed from Bedford Colleges media department.
